Here it is folks, Lust for Live April 2016 - and we've got some pretty special sounds in store for live music lovers!
Ben Dawson: Most often found behind sound desks or the microphone, Ben will strip back his sound for an intimate portrait of acoustic journeys. The varying influences held close by Ben will ensure an interesting and honest performance by one of Dubbo’s most passionate musicians.
as of sky: Raised on the sunny slopes of rural NSW, as of sky is a singer/songwriter with a fresh blend of new melodies anchored in old folk roots. Inspired by the likes of Andrew Bird and Sufjan Stevens, her soulful lyrics and layers of lilting violin harmonies mingle to create music both bright and reflective.
Sondernaut: Dubbo’s local giants of noise Sondernaut return to Lust for Live after a memorable first run last year. Inspired by the rock and fuzz of the Melvins and Fugazi, the lads will play a set packed with memorable tunes that are brutal and beautiful at the
same time.
The Bitter Sweethearts: A four-headed Irish-Australian rock Hydra from Sydney's Inner West, The Bitter Sweethearts play guitar-fuelled rock and roll exactly the way it's supposed to be played. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Thin Lizzy, the Dubliners, Airbourne and The Darkness, the band honed their sound in the garages and booze dens of Sydney before hitting the road in 2015 to showcase their unique sound at every pub, club and back yard along Australia's eastern coast.
