FRESH, LIVE, ORIGINAL MUSIC - FREE ENTRY
Soultree // Haleigh Hing // Civil Hands // The Iron Horses
THE IRON HORSES: The Iron Horses formed in early 2015 after numerous late night, boozy jamming sessions - with great enthusiasm for cheap bourbon and nothing but time to kill on a Friday night. After a few weeks, a group of songs began to emerge. These songs were the first footsteps towards their debut EP release ‘STOP TO START’. The energy that hits you is immediately captivating and none of this is by chance. With almost two albums worth of balls-out rock-and-roll already written, the hardest part was deciding which ones made the cut for the Stop To Start EP. The live show is a hard hitting, guitar slamming, melodic, rock-and-roll spectacle.
CIVIL HANDS: Civil Hands is a five-piece indie rock band from Dubbo, fashioning original music inspired by the melodies of REM, the reflective storytelling of The National and Shearwater, and the mainstream indie sounds of Snow Patrol and Of Monsters and Men. They return to the Lust for Live stage after spending the last nine months playing shows in Canberra, Orange and headlining at Dubbo’s Dream Festival.
SOULTREE: A spirited eclectic mix of blues, roots, rock and alternate folk. Armed with raw talent and a dedication to reshaping your musical experience one song at a time, Dave and Lizzie come together to create a refreshing, funky acoustic duo, delivering contemporary tunes with a colourful, fun approach. Comprised of sweet harmonies along with guitar, Ukulele, percussion and the occasional outburst of harmonica. The passionate elements bought to the mixing desk of this fun loving, rootsy duo will warm the cockles of your soul, bring the beat to your feet and a smile to your dial.
HALEIGH HING: One of Dubbo’s most promising young talents, armed with his trusty acoustic guitar Haleigh is heading for the Lust for Live stage with a headful of melodies and a heartfelt lexicon of popular song. Weaving original songs amongst his interpretations of some of the most popular songs around, prepare to be impressed by a young man whose talent, composure and absolute passion for music belie his years.
